Overview  

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager for their Vancouver location. The successful candidate will be responsible to plan and manage change and to implement large scale projects.

Responsibilities
  • Address and where necessary implement change management procedures and plan, implement and manage large scale, complex projects involving internal departments, external agencies and contractors
  • Define project scope and structure, and develop project plan and budget.
  • Coordinate project schedules and deliverables with internal departments
  • Work closely with program manager and other project managers to ensure alignment is maintained
  • Attend knowledge management workshop and team sessions

    Skills and Experience
     
  • Experience working on Knowledge Management and Change management projects
  • Experience with Enterprise Content Management Systems would be an asset
  • Knowledge of the principles, concepts, standards, practices and tools of project management
  •  

    Education and Certification

    Undergraduate degree and/or a professional designation in a technical/business/scientific field.

    Title             Senior Test Analyst

    Overview  

    Our client is seeking a Senior Test Analyst to work out of Vancouver.

    Responsibilities

  • Participate in unit test design review meetings with developers and Lead Developer
  • Develop test designs(including test cases with expected results and effort estimates) from project requirements, design documentation and guidance from the Lead Developer
  • Create test data
  • Conduct integration and system tests of the application
  • Report defect details in defect tracking system
  • Participate in defect review meetings with developers and clients
  • Perform LAN Administration duties
  • Administer, maintain and manage testing tools
  • Participate in Performance Testing activities including but not limited to creating test drivers and stubs and designing the Performance Test Cases and scenarios
  • Develop test stubs/drivers as necessary using Microsoft .net technology
  • Manage Test Server configurations
  • Troubleshoot Developer problems encountered on Windows servers

    Skills and Experience
     
  • 5+ years Software Testing experience.
  • 5+ years working experience in a similar business setting – insurance, banking, government
  • Good background in testing methodologies and experience developing and executing comprehensive test suites
  • Good understanding of the defect life cycle and the issues and sensitivities related to defect reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Windows server environments
  • 2+ years experience with testing web applications
  • 2+ years experience with testing web services applications and creating XML files
  • Proficient in Office 2003 and various tools such as SQL editors

    Our Client, a major BC organization, is seeking a Business Analyst with expertise in Change Management. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Business Analyst will deploy change management processes and procedures.

    Responsibilities
  • Tailor SDLC best practices and introduce the same to selected groups
  • Create procedures for creating tickets in correct instance, accessing information, and an Asset Accountability Map
  • Define notification and recognition processes
  • Define process for IT resources to identify /nominate excellent work
  • Define process to recognize excellent performance
  • Develop training collateral for IT staff on change management processes and other service delivery processes
  • Develop quality management plan
  • Define criteria for identifying appropriate IT engineering skills
  • Modify job descriptions to describe appropriate IT engineering skill requirements
  • Modify orientation materials for new IT hires
  • Review new skills/requirements against hiring criteria for similar job postings


  • Skills and Experience
     
  • Experience with Change Management functions
  • Experience with application development methodologies
  • Knowledge and use of Organization Change Management
  • Experience and knowledge of the ITIL Service Management processes
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience with CMMi or worked in a CMMi assessed organization
  • Ability of create well written and professional documentation
  • Experience with business process modeling
  • Experience with the creation of training collateral

    Education and Certification

    Degree in a related field (e.g. computing science, business).
